What to expect
A tactile, hands-on workshop where you learn the skills and techniques to carve a design into soft linoleum and the process of inking and printing it onto card.
You will be guided through the process, starting out on practice Lino so you can try out the techniques before jumping in to your design. Once you’ve cut your design, you will then learn how to ink it and press the print on to card, ready to frame and take home!
What is included
During this 3.5 hour workshop, our tutor will walk you through every step, from sketching your design and transferring it to lino, to mastering carving techniques and printing your finished artwork. You’ll learn how to handle tools safely, choose the right materials, and leave with a unique piece of your own creation.
You’ll leave with:
A framed print from your own linocut block, as well as your designed print block to continue printing it when you get home. You will also be able to take your practice postcards home with you to share your hard work with your friends.
Cost
This workshop is £60pp.
We provide everything you need, alongside a cup of coffee or tea and slice of cake.
