duration

2.5 Hours

What to expect

Kinusaiga is a beautifully slow and tactile Japanese fabric art technique that creates a quilted, patchwork look without any sewing at all.

The session begins with a gentle introduction to how kinusaiga works, followed by guided steps on preparing your fabric pieces, placing them cleanly, and choosing colours and textures that bring your chosen pattern to life.

What is included

You will start this two and a half hour workshop by choosing from a selection of patterns, nature motifs, gentle geometrics, or seasonal designs, and work on an 8×8 inch board that’s finished in a frame, ready to take home at the end of the workshop.

You’ll have access to a generous fabric stash and all the tools you need, with plenty of support throughout so you can settle into the mindful, detailed rhythm of the craft.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners as well as seasoned crafters looking for something new. If you enjoy textiles, slow craft, or simply want a creative moment away from the everyday, kinusaiga is a wonderfully satisfying technique to explore. All materials are included.

You’ll leave with:
A finished 8×8 inch framed artwork that’s perfect for gifting or displaying at home.
