Our story
Hey, I’m Lisa—founder of Yarnwick Nook, lifelong crafter, and former NHS professional.
After 25 years of service in healthcare and raising a family, I decided it was time to follow the thread of my passion and stitch together something new. That’s how Yarnwick Nook came to life.
Crafting has always been my sanctuary. Whether it was the fruity scent of gel pens, the hypnotic loops of a spirograph, or the comforting rhythm of knitting needles, creativity has been my constant companion. My mum patiently taught me to knit (and re-knit!) and I later fell in love with cross stitch—both of which still bring me joy today.
Yarnwick Nook is more than a place—it’s a feeling. It’s the gentle hum of conversation, the clink of a teacup, and the quiet satisfaction of making something with your hands. Whether you join us online or in person, you’ll find a warm, welcoming space to unwind, connect, and create.
We believe crafting isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. It’s about stepping away from the noise and giving yourself permission to play, laugh, and learn alongside kindred spirits.
Our ethos is simple: Anyone can craft. All you need is a cosy corner and a little encouragement.
