Glazing, Firing & the Nature of Handmade Work
We take great pride in caring for every piece that passes through our kiln. However, ceramics is a beautiful blend of artistry and natural science — and the kiln doesn’t always behave predictably.
By painting with us, you acknowledge that:
-
Colour shifts, small speckles, and gentle variations are part of the handmade charm.
-
Some outcomes are influenced by factors outside human control.
-
Minor imperfections are normal and celebrated in studio made pottery.
If a glaze behaves unexpectedly, we may refire your piece when it’s safe to do so. In the rare event a piece cracks or becomes damaged during firing, we’ll provide a replacement voucher so your experience remains a positive one.
Collecting Your Finished Pottery
-
Your pottery will be ready within the timeframe stated at your session.
-
Please collect your pieces within the collection window.
-
Uncollected items may be rehomed or recycled after the holding period, as we have limited storage space.
Children & Supervision
We welcome young makers, but they must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Adults are liable for any damage caused by unsupervised children.
Food, Drink & Licensing
Only food and drink purchased in the studio can be enjoyed in the studio. If alcohol is served, it will always follow responsible‑service and licensing guidelines. Please follow any safety or hygiene instructions from our team.
Damage & Liability
-
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to studio equipment or property.
-
We cannot accept liability for personal belongings left behind or damaged.
-
Accidental damage to pottery during painting is the responsibility of the guest.
Refunds & Cancellations
-
Cancellations within the stated window may be refunded or rescheduled.
-
Late cancellations or no shows are nonrefundable.
-
Parties, private events, and group bookings may have their own cancellation terms.
Health & Safety
Please follow all guidance from our team regarding materials, tools, and equipment. Some activities may not be suitable for individuals with certain allergies or sensitivities; guests are responsible for checking suitability before taking part.
Photography & Media
We occasionally capture studio moments for social media and marketing. If you prefer not to appear in any photos or videos, simply let a team member know when you arrive.
